Randy joined Work for Life in 2016 when there were a couple of hundred students each year being trained. Since joining the team he has helped create the systems and structures necessary to reach thousands of students a year. Before joining Work for Life, Randy spent three years in Uganda as the Operations Manager for Cherish Uganda, a child care organization in Uganda. While in Uganda he had a chance to run multiple businesses where the profits went back to the organization. He also met his bride, Amanda, while living in Uganda and now they have 5 children.
Robert Beasley is the founder and Chairman of Work for Life and CEO of ThisQuarter, a business strategy consulting firm. He is responsible for strategic direction of Work for Life. For the past 14 years, Robert has assisted U.S. and international companies in the areas of market assessment, strategy development, partner strategies and sales force optimization.
Prior to founding ThisQuarter, Robert held executive leadership positions at several Fortune 500 and early-stage high-tech companies and consulting firms. Robert was Vice President of Sales at Computer Associates, a leading global enterprise software company, where he was recognized as a worldwide sales leader. He has also managed acquisitions for several companies on both buy side and sell side.
He has successfully developed and closed numerous multi-million dollar agreements with large, global companies and managed the cross-functional teams (sales, business development, technical, etc.) required to secure these agreements. Robert has successfully taken a number organizations from conception to market penetration with a focus on developing effective sales and marketing strategies. An entrepreneur at heart, Robert thrives on making sense of chaos. Robert’s experience spans the globe. He has lived in Asia/Pacific and has driven strategic business alliances in nearly every region of the world. Robert is the author of Dashboard Selling a powerful visual selling methodology for managing complex, strategic sales opportunities more effectively and Strategy Roadmap a practical guide for business the business leader who needs to accelerate revenue. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Marketing & Management.
Lewis graduated from SMU with his MBA and quickly bought his first company. Since then he has bought and sold over 20 businesses that have impacted his vision for using business to impact people across the world. He has an extensive background in international work and has travelled extensively. Through this experience, he saw an opportunity to use his skills in business to transform people’s lives across the globe.
Jeff is a current Chick-fil-a operator in Austin. Jeff has been a part of the Work for Life ministry since early on as one of the first business men to go on a trip. As an operator, Jeff has been able to pioneer practices that have increased production across the Chick-fil-a brand. As a business owner, he brings this same passion to Work for Life.
Brent has been working in Uganda as the CEO of Cherish Uganda, a child-care organization focused on orphan care. Cherish is pioneering child-care in Uganda and specifically the story of HIV positive children in Uganda. Brent brings extensive experience in cross cultural outreach and structure.
Work for Life is a non-profit organization founded by a group of business leaders in Austin, Texas with an interest in using business to help improve the lives of people living in poverty. Our entrepreneurship programs have been operating in East Africa since 2009. As we continue to see lives impacted, we are constantly on the look out for new opportunities. We are currently looking to expand into South America and South East Asia.
We have a unique opportunity to get behind our friends living in poverty and help them take action and become the solution to the problems that exist in their communities.
